If you’re like us and trying to pre-order the Pixel 6 while Google is in the process of announcing it, you’re not alone. The Google Store continues to return a “500. That’s an error” code whenever you try to load even the main storefront.
In some instances, you might be able to get the online storefront to actually load, but trying to select anything results in an error. That includes the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel Stand v2, and even the new Pixel Pass landing pages.
It’s really not a great look for Google to suffer these problems when the official Twitter account tweeted that the phones would be available for pre-order at 1 p.m. ET. So for the time being, it appears as though Google’s online storefront is getting hammered with traffic.
To say this is frustrating, might just be the understatement of the week. Those of who want to pre-order their devices now, versus waiting, will have to just sit around and wait for Google’s servers to get its act together. Hopefully, by the time the website is back up, shipping dates won’t be slipping into December or even later.
Did you manage to make it in and get your pre-order taken care of? Let us know!
