There are a few caveats to be aware of it you own an Oppo device and want to join the ColorOS 12 beta. The first of which is that this timeline does not include any carrier-exclusive models, as Oppo states the updates “are determined by carriers.” Next, the company plans on releasing the beta on a “batch-by-batch basis”, meaning that it may arrive in some regions before others, regardless of the device.

But if you want to join the ColorOS 12 beta, and have one of the devices listed above, you can follow these steps to apply:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Tap the Gear icon in the top right corner.
  4. Select Trial version.
  5. Tap Beta version.
  6. Enter your phone number/email address.
  7. Tap the checkbox to agree to the Privacy Policy.
  8. Tap the Submit button.

Once the beta becomes available, you will receive an OTA update allowing you to get your hands on what Oppo is bringing to its users with Android 12 and ColorOS 12.
