Back in July, alongside the OnePlus Nord 2, the company also announced the OnePlus Buds Pro. These are a pair of $150 true wireless earbuds that comes with some pretty cool and useful features, like smart adaptive noise cancellation, 40 hours of battery life, 11mm drivers, and more.
That being said, if $150 is a bit too dear for your liking, then you might be interested to hear that according to a tweet by Max Jambor on Twitter, apparently OnePlus could be working on a cheaper alternative. This will apparently be a “Lite” version of the OnePlus Buds Pro where all we know for now is that it will be cheaper than the regular Pro version.
1+ is working on a new – lower priced – pair of headphones with ANC. Some sort of Lite edition of the Buds Pro
I really like the Buds Pro so I am curious what those cheaper ones have to offer

Usually when we look at “Lite” versions of products, some features are removed in order to keep costs down. All things considered, the OnePlus Buds Pro is actually not that expensive, especially when you look at what other companies like Apple are charging, but OnePlus does have a reputation for keeping things affordable, or at least they used to, so maybe this could be another way of trying to attract customers with even tighter budgets.
There is no word on when these earbuds will be announced, but it is said that it might be announced alongside the OnePlus 9 RT, which last we heard could be making its official debut in October.
