Samsung Galaxy S21 FE appears on Google Play Console with all the specs we expected

0

We’re expecting Samsung to show off the Galaxy S21 FE any day now, and it appears that we’re one step closer to that happening. The Galaxy S21 FE appeared on the Google Play Console (via MyFixGuide), revealing some of the key specs for this upcoming device.

According to the Play Console listing, the Galaxy S21 FE will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset while being paired with at least 6GB of RAM. This is likely going to be the entry-level model, as we’re expecting to see at least one other variant with more RAM included.

The listing also reveals a rather unique screen size, with a resolution of 2009 x 1080 and a screen density of 480. This is a bit odd considering that the Galaxy S21’s display features a resolution of 2400 x 1080. It’s possible this was put into the system incorrectly, or the Galaxy S21 FE might just have a slightly smaller screen compared to the rest of the Galaxy S21 lineup. Unfortunately, there was no mention of a refresh rate, but the Galaxy S21 FE is likely to sport a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Despite the delays and a rumored October release, the Galaxy S21 FE will still ship with Android 11 onboard. This isn’t all that surprising given that we still don’t have a One UI 4.0 beta based on Android 12, but it’s still worth noting nonetheless.

Previous rumors and leaks point to the Galaxy S21 FE sporting a flat AMOLED display, along with a triple 12MP rear camera array, and a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Until Samsung officially unveils the device, we’ll likely see it crop up here and there until it arrives.

Are you excited for the Galaxy S21 FE? Or are you more excited for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro which will be arriving around the same time?
