Fast charging tech seems to be a feature that we can expect from most Android handset makers these days. In fact, the OnePlus’ Warp Charge is one of the best fast chargers we’ve seen so far at 65W (we’re talking about commercial availability, not proof-of-concepts). As for Samsung, the company is lagging a little bit behind.
That could change in 2022 because according to a tweet by @FrontTron, they claim that with the Galaxy S22, Samsung could be adopting 65W fast charging tech. The tweet does not mention the Galaxy S22 specifically, but rather it references the “Rainbow RGB”, with RGB indicating the three different models of the phone – the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Hearing 65W in test phase for Rainbow RGB…

At the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S21 does support what they call “Super Fast Charging” which basically lets you charge devices with output power of 25W or 45W. Assuming this tweet is accurate, Samsung will bump that up to 65W which should be a lot faster, although how much faster is unclear right now.
While this is good news, the bad news is that Samsung might not include the charger with the Galaxy S22 phones, meaning that just like Apple’s iPhones if you want fast charging, you’ll have to purchase it separately.
