Sony Xperia 1 III Lifestyle

Sony’s latest flagship is a camera monster and you can pre-order it now

Sony doesn’t get the love it deserves here in the U.S., as we continue to see Apple, Samsung, and OnePlus dominate the market. But the Xperia 1 line just keeps chugging along, with the Xperia 1 III being announced earlier this year.

Part of why Sony may have such a difficult time comes down to the timing of its releases. Take this release for example. The phone was announced back in April, but you can only now pre-order it. That’s a few months where people have either forgotten about the device, or have moved onto something else because it wasn’t available.

But those of you who have been holding out for the latest Sony flagship can rejoice. The phone can now be pre-ordered from B&H Photo for a cool $1,298.

As a refresher, the Xperia 1 III features a tall 6.5-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 888 is at the wheel, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.

Sony could have a phone capable of staking claim to the best Android phone of the year thanks to its camera system. The trio of 12MP sensors all sport different apertures, while all three also including dual PDAF. Two of those cameras are also equipped with Optical Image Stabilization.

This camera array also features three different focal lengths, ranging from 16mm and going all the way up to 105mm. This is made possible thanks to the tertiary lens which provides variable focal lengths going from 70mm up to 105mm.

While we’re still awaiting the arrival of Samsung’s 2nd-half flagships, along with whatever Google is working on with the Pixel 6, the Xperia 1 III looks mighty impressive. If you want to pre-order one for yourself, hit the link below.
