Samsung Galaxy Watch Hero

Check out the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 in all of its glory

It’s just getting silly at this point. The Galaxy Watch 4 is likely to be announced as soon as next week, which means the flood gates have opened. Earlier in the week, Samsung announced that it would be holding a virtual event during MWC 2021. The company was expected to make some type of announcement regarding the future of its wearables.

This includes the Galaxy Watch 4 and presumably, the Galaxy Watch Active 4. But if you just can’t wait any longer, 91mobiles is here to save the day with a series of leaked renders that look pretty official. These renders show off the Galaxy Watch 4 from pretty much every angle, including the different sensors that will be used for health tracking.

From the renders, we can see that the Watch 4 itself looks pretty similar to that of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. There will be a few different colors to choose from including matte black, dark green, rose gold, and silver. But we’ll also be getting some bands and they appear to rest more flush against the watch casing compared to previous Galaxy smartwatches.

Some of the specs for the Galaxy Watch 4 have also been revealed, confirming that there will be two different sizes 40mm and 44mm. There will also be 5ATM water resistance, GPS, and MIL-STD 810G spec for durability. These leaked renders also give us a little bit of a taste for some of the watch faces that will be arriving with the new smartwatch, along with the next version of Wear OS.

That’s not all that we’ve learned about the Galaxy Watch 4 today, as Max Weinbach states that the smartwatch will feature a bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) sensor will also be included. This sensor provides better measurements for body composition, and the Watch 4 would be the first smartwatch to include such a sensor. Rumors have pointed to Apple including a similar BIA sensor in the next Apple Watch, but that’s not slated to be released until later this year.
