With every new smartphone that comes out, we’re always curious to see how its cameras stack up against the pixel 5. The new Oppo Find X3 Pro may seem like another boring flagship smartphone, but the company has put in extra work to ensure that the photography experience that the phone offers is nearly flawless.
The main selling point of the Oppo’s camera setup is the use of two Sony IMX 766 sensors for the main and ultrawide cameras, allowing for incredible color matching when switching between the two cameras when capturing photos and crisp 4k video. It even more noticeable in low-light conditions since most other smartphones use inferior sensors for their ultra-wide cameras, leading to poor results when lighting isn’t perfect.
The only place where the Oppo FInd X3 Pro falters is with its 32MP selfie camera. The results are lackluster with blown-out highlights limited 1080p video capture and unimpressive portrait shots.
The Pixel 5 performs admirably in this matchup and does come out ahead in a few different situations. That being said, the again 12MP sensor that Google has been using for its main camera is finally showing its age. That being said, the Pixel still has a big advantage if you’re an avid selfie shooter.
