It’s that time of the year where smartphone makers start providing release dates and making announcements for its upcoming devices. While we await the official arrival of the OnePlus 9, the folks over at Xiaomi-owned Poco are gearing up for an announcement of its own.
The company’s Global Twitter account confirmed that an event will be coming on March 22nd, where it’s likely to unveil three new devices – Poco F3, F3 Pro, and X3 Pro. Over the past few years, Poco has been killing the budget market, headlined by the Poco M3 and its $150 price tag.

The Poco F1 burst onto the scene back in 2018, and helped to usher in the wave of budget phones that provide near-flagship level experiences. Now, the company is hoping to keep the good times rolling with its three upcoming devices.
The Poco F3 and F3 Pro are the successor to the F2 and F2 Pro, which garnered a 3.5-star review due to the fact that it fell a bit flat in a few areas. However, the F2 Pro features a stunning design and all-day battery life, two key features we expect to return this go ’round. The Poco X3 Pro could be the star of the show, however, as rumors suggest that the device could feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, 5,200mAh battery, the unreleased Snapdragon 860 processor, all for an incredible rumored price of €269.
Looking to the F3 and F3 Pro, these are essentially just rebranded versions of the Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ that landed in China last month. These devices are equipped with the Snapdragon 870 processor, along with a triple camera setup, and a gorgeous 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
Xiaomi is hoping to steal the spotlight in 2021, and has already started the year off on the right foot after the successful launch of Mi 11.
