The action camera space is dominated by GoPro, but that hasn’t stopped Insta360 from grabbing headlines with its innovative 360 cameras that offer a fun alternative to the traditional action cam configurations GoPro has been pushing for over a decade.
In a little over a week, Insta360 will unveil a new camera, likely a successor to the tiny Insta360 Go which came out in late 2019. The original Insta360 Go was a thumb-sized, 180°, splash-proof camera that could only capture video in 15, 30 or 60-second increments at launch but was later updated so that t would record up to 5 minutes of continuous video.
We’re not sure if the unnamed device that’ll be unveiled on March 9th will have the same limitations as the Insta360 Go, but the teaser image and video suggest that the upcoming device will at least share the same tiny form factor with its predecessor.
