It’s a safe bet to say that OnePlus will be launching the OnePlus 9 in 2021, but the question is, what kind of specs are we looking at and what kind of design will the phone have? Thanks to the folks at PhoneArena, most of those questions have since been answered. The publication has been sent in photos and specs of the upcoming phone which they claim have been corroborated by their sources.
Starting with the design, the OnePlus 9 will look very similar to the OnePlus 8T in the front, but on the back is where it gets interesting. It seems that OnePlus has redesigned the camera module and based on the photo, which is allegedly a prototype, it has the “Ultra Shot” branding, which we’re not quite sure what it means just yet.
Some of the alleged specs of the OnePlus 9 includes a 6.55-inch display which will apparently have a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR. It is also rumored to have a 2400×1080 resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is also expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and will be accompanied by 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.
There is currently no word on when the phone will be officially announced, but last we heard, it could be launching earlier than expected around mid-March 2021.
