Ever since the OnePlus 6T was launched, the company decided to do away with the 3.5mm headphone jack. This pretty much emulated what most handset makers in the industry today are doing, but it looks like OnePlus could actually have a slight change of heart with the US variants of the OnePlus Nord.
Multiple reports from Voice have suggested that there could be at least two OnePlus Nord variants designated for the US market. This is expected to come in the form of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and the N100, with the latter being the more affordable of the two, although both will come with the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Based on the leaks, the N10 5G will come with a 6.49-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G chipset and come with 6GB of RAM, a 4,300mAh battery, and a quad-camera setup which consists of a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and dual 2MP cameras.
As for the N100, it will feature a 6.52-inch LCD panel with a HD+ resolution. The phone will be powered by the lower-end Snapdragon 460 chipset and will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, although it will pack a larger 5,000mAh battery and a 13MP + dual 2MP cameras on the back.
The OnePlus Nord was originally not meant for the US market and we had previously heard that the versions OnePlus was planning for the US would be different from the original Nord. The company is rumored to announce these handsets by the end of the month, so we won’t have to wait too long for the details.
