Whenever we see a smartphone that comes with a fast refresh rate, we usually associate those with high-end flagships and expensive devices, but Xiaomi is hoping to bring fast refresh rates to the masses as they have announced their new Mi 10T series that depending on the model you choose, will come with either a 120Hz display, or an even faster 144Hz display.
Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
Starting with the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, this is a new mid-range phone from the company. It will come with a 6.67-inch 120Hz display with a FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, we’re also looking at the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G chipset that will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM, and a choice between 64GB or 128GB of storage.
For a mid-ranger, it will come with camera features that we might have expected from a flagship, which includes a quad-camera setup on the back. This setup contains a 64MP wide-angle main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. There will also be a 16MP in-display front-facing camera, meaning that Xiaomi has managed to do away with the notch and other workarounds.
The Mi 10T Lite will also feature support for 5G, and will have security features like a fingerprint sensor and the use of AI Face-Unlock. There will be a 4,820mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
Xiaomi Mi 10T & Mi 10T Pro
Moving on to the flagship versions of the Mi 10T series, this includes the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro. For the most part, both models share similar features which includes a 6.67-inch FHD+ display that comes with a faster 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, they will also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and are accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Both devices will also feature 5G with additional band support than Xiaomi devices have in the past and WiFi 6 compatibility.
Both phones will also feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging and MMT charging tech which delivers a charge to the battery from the top and bottom of the battery. This new charging tech allows the same battery to charge 17% faster which will take the 5,000mAh battery inside bot of these phones from 0% to 100% in one hour.
The Mi 10T will come with a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. The Mi 10T Pro will have all of those cameras, except that the main sensor will be a 108MP sensor that also comes with OIS.
Pricing & Availability
All three phones will be available across Asia and Europe from major service providers, directly from Xiaomi and other retailers as well. The price of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite will start at €279 with a launch flash sale at €249while the Mi 10 will sell for €499 and the Mi 10 T Pro will be priced at €599.
