There’s a good chance that the Pixel 4a could steal the show for the next 6-months or so, as the best overall Android phone you can get. While Samsung is out there targeting those wanting a futuristic design, the Pixel 4a is keeping things simple, while focusing on the parts that matter. From a fantastic camera, to a basic, but welcome basic design along with Google’s version of Android, it has everything for almost everyone.
And while the 4a is priced at just $349, that doesn’t mean that you exactly want to go throwing this phone around. For that reason along, there are quite a few cases we would recommend checking out, so you can keep your 4a rolling along for as long as possible.
Kwmobile Canvas Cover
Google already has its own fabric cases for the Pixel 4a, but those are rather pricy and can be hard to come by. Kwmobile is here to save the day with its Canvas Color, as you’ll get eight different colors to choose from, and there are cutouts for the charging port, headphone jack, and buttons on the right-side so you don’t have to worry about the case getting in the way.
Bellroy Leather Cover
One reason for the Pixel 4a being so affordable is that it’s casing is made from plastic. While that’s great and looks much better than you would think, you might want more of a premium feel and that’s where the Bellroy Leather Cover comes in. Bellroy offers a few different colors, while sporting a microfiber lining to protect your 4a from getting scratched up inside the case.
Caseology Vault
When it comes to more simplistic TPU cases, the battle really comes down to Caseology’s Vault series and the Spigen Rugged Armor. Caseology gets the nod due to the matte textured finish on the back, while still giving you that sweet carbon fiber window at the top.
Spigen Ultra Hybrid
It wouldn’t be a case roundup if we didn’t suggest an option from Spigen. Instead of going with the traditional Rugged Armor, we’re looking at the Ultra Hybrid because this clear case lets you show off your Pixel 4a, without needing to take off your case. Sure, there aren’t any other colors of the Pixel 4a to choose from, but the matte finish looks awesome as it is and you will probably want to show it off.
CYRILL Color Brick
When it comes down to protection, you’ll usually want to find a case that has at least two layers to get the most out of your case. CYRILL’s Color Brick is unique in that there’s a soft TPU bumper, along with a translucent polycarbonate backplate. But the best part about the Color Brick is the colored buttons, which is just a nice little touch.
Anccer Ultra-thin Cover
Although the Pixel 4a is smaller than the Pixel 4 XL, it may still be a bit unwieldy for those with smaller hands. But you don’t exactly want to go without a case altogether, and that’s where the Anccer Ultra-Thin Cover can help. This case measures in at just 0.3mm, so you’ll get an ultra-low profile case, and there are a few colors to choose from.
SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro
Here comes the boom. The SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro offers all of the protection you’ll need in a case, complete with a built-in screen protector. Not only does the Beetle Pro include a built-in kickstand on the back, but the multiple layers of protection help this case follow through on its drop-rating of 20-feet. Finally, SUPCASE also provides a holster for those who want to put their phone on a belt throughout the day.
Encased Thin Armor
Slim and TPU is the way to go for a lot of folks, and the Encased Thin Armor is another solid option. This case sports a textured pattern on the majority of the back, which will provide a bit more grip to keep your 4a in your hands and not on the ground. There are also raised ridges around the display and camera module to protect against scratches when you put the phone down.
ESR Metal Kickstand Case
Getting a case that is both clear and functional is easier than ever to find, but even for the Pixel 4a, the options are still limited for now. ESR has helped fill the void with its Kickstand Case, as this case is clear, sports raised ridges around the display and camera module, while also featuring a built-in metal kickstand on the back. And you can use this to prop up your 4a either vertically or horizontally.
UAG Scout
Outside of Otterbox and SUPCASE, UAG is another one of those companies that put protection at the forefront of its cases. You won’t find any flashy designs with the UAG Scout, but instead, just a plain-jane case with two layers of protection. The edges are made from TPU, offering extra grip, and the polycarbonate backplate snaps into place to keep the TPU inner shell in place.
Otterbox Symmetry
Speaking of Otterbox, you really can’t go wrong with the Symmetry series. For years, the Commuter line was the smallest Otterbox case to get, but that has shifted with the Symmetry. You’ll find a frosted finish around the sides and back, while providing that Otterbox-level of protection you know and love.
Otterbox Commuter
Keeping with Otterbox, we would be remiss if we didn’t suggest the Commuter case for the Pixel 4a. This sports a tried-and-true design with a TPU inner shell that is both flexible and soft, while the outer polycarbonate shell locks everything into place, so your case won’t fall apart at the wrong time.
