The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is finally here!

0

The long-awaited Xiaomi Mi Band 5 has finally landed! If you’re looking for a new fitness tracker that doesn’t break the bank, the mi Band 5 should be one of your top picks.

The Mi Band 5 sports a 1.1-inch color AMOLED display which is 20% larger than what Xiaomi featured on the mi Band 4, 8 different color options for the strap and an updated magnetic charging system which allows you to charge the fitness tracker directly without needing to remove it from its strap.

The company is claiming up to 15 days of battery life, but users will likely only see 7 days of continual use if they keep the heart rate sensor and sleep tracking functionality turned on at all times.

Xiaomi has also added in a menstrual tracker and a stress-monitor which will notify users of their stress levels and suggest relaxation exercises. Xiaomi is also throwing in a Blood Oxygen sensor (SpO2) and touting a 50% improvement in heart rate tracking, something that previous models have struggled with. Sleep tracking on the Mi Band 5 has also been improved, allowing the fitness tracker to better monitor your different sleep cycles.
