Android users looking for an alternative to Apple’s AirPods have flocked to the Samsung Galaxy Buds for their ease of use, design and superior audio quality (when compared to their main competition).

Overall, the Samsung galaxy Buds offer a great experience for most users. But if you’re reading this article, you probably already know that since you’re looking for a way to reset the Galaxy Buds, and that’s what we’re here for.

If you’ve determined that a hard reset for your Samsung Galaxy Buds is needed, the step below will walk you through the process. Resetting the Galaxy Buds will erase any settings you may have made and remove them from the list of connected devices within the Galaxy Wearable app and your phone’s Bluetooth settings. This method will work for the original Samsung Galaxy Buds and newer Galaxy Buds+.

NOTE: This reset method only works if you are using an Android-powered smartphone. If you happen to be using the Samsung Galaxy Buds with an iPhone, you will need to borrow an Android device from a friend or family member, install the Galaxy Wearable app and then follow the instructions below.

  1. Place the Galaxy Buds in their case and let them charge for at least 10 minutes
  2. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap About earbuds.
  4. Tap Reset earbuds
  5. Tap Reset to initiate the Galaxy Buds reset process

The reset process for the Galaxy Buds should only take a few seconds. You’ll know that the process is complete once your Galaxy Buds are no longer listed within the Galaxy Wearable app.
