Future OnePlus handsets could come with 65W fast charging
These days, we’re seeing more smartphones come with faster charging as one of its features. This is to help offset the batteries of our smartphones, which haven’t really gotten that much better over the years. With the OnePlus 8, the company introduced 30W fast charging, which we suppose is fast, but it could always be faster.
The good news is that could change with future OnePlus handsets. This is according to a report from MySmartPrice who discovered that OnePlus could be working on a new 65W fast charging system. It has been speculated that this charging system could share some similarities with OPPO’s own SuperVOOC 65W charging technology as both companies are known to share tech with each other.
Given that this charger did not make it into the OnePlus 8 series, it has also been suggested that it could find its way into future OnePlus handsets, such as the OnePlus 8T series that could debut later this year. OnePlus is rumored to be planning a budget OnePlus Z handset, so it seems unlikely that the device could be benefiting from this.
In any case, take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully OnePlus will have more details to share about this alleged 65W fast charging system in the near future.
