OnePlus 8 Pro versus Pixel 4 camera comparison: can it take on the king?


The new OnePlus 8 Pro packs in a lot of improvements over last year’s model, including upgraded camera hardware which should allow it to compete with the best smartphones of 2020. While there are a lot of great devices out right now that can take amazing pictures, the Pixel 4 from 2019 is still held in high regard and is considered to be one of the best Android smartphones for capturing photos, despite its mediocre hardware.

In this OnePlus 8 versus Pixel 4 camera comparison, you’ll be able to see what the camera hardware on the OnePlus 8 is truly capable of. The phone includes a rear quad-camera setup with a 48MP, f/1.78, main camera, 8MP, f/2.4 3x hybrid zoom, 48MP, f/2.2, 119 degrees ultrawide and 5MP, f/2.4 color filter camera. Upfront is has a 16MP, f/2.4 (selfie camera) capable of capturing 1080p/30fps video while the rear cameras max out at 4K/60fps. On the other side, we have the Pixel 4 with a 12.2 MP, f/1.7, 28mm main camera and 16 MP, f/2.4, 45mm 2x telephoto on the back and an 8MP, f/2.0, 22mm selfie camera. The rear cameras can capture 4K/30fps video with the front-facing camera pulling in 1080p/30fps recordings.
