How to install the Google Play Store on Huawei & Honor phones with new one-click installer

One of the biggest losses to Huawei due to the trade war between US and China, is their ability to do business with Google. As a result, Huawei phones starting with last year’s Huawei Mate 30 series do not come with Google Play Services installed on it. No doubt this is a huge blow for the company as we imagine that many potential customers might be put off by it.

There is some good news though, and that is according to a report from HuaweiBlog.de, it looks like there is a way to install Google’s services on Huawei’s phones with just one click. Apparently, all it takes is for users to install an app called “Chat Partner” on the phone and follow the steps, and within five minutes, you should get Google’s services up and running on affected Huawei devices.

That being said, before you get too excited, know that Google has not officially gotten back in business with Huawei, despite having applied for an exemption to do so. Also, there is also no way of guaranteeing that Google might step in and block these services from being operated on Huawei phones.

Previously, there was a way for users to install Google services on Huawei phones, but that was quickly shut down as well. Also, we can’t speak to the legitimacy of the app, so we can’t  be sure if it really does what it advertises, or if there could be something malicious hiding under the surface.

Google is well-aware of users who might be trying to find ways to sideload their services on Huawei’s phones, and have warned against doing so due to security concerns and also not being able to promise that their services will work as intended.
