Samsung Unpacked 2020 brought with it a new line of flagships for the company. The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra pack the latest specs and have an unprecedented price tag for the Galaxy S line: the base S20 starts at $1,000 and the S20 Ultra costs a whopping $1,400.
With last year’s Galaxy S10e starting at just $750, it’s understandable that people are not happy. But to combat the high prices, Samsung is keeping last year’s devices around with a major price cut. So if you’re on a budget, you can still pick up slightly older flagships for significantly less than the just announced S20 series.
The Galaxy S10e is now priced at $599, the S10 is priced at $749, and the S10+ is priced at $849. That puts last year’s top of the line device at $150 below this year’s lowest priced model. This also puts the S10e in the mid-range price bracket despite featuring some still powerful and relevant specs.
Samsung’s site has had the price drop in effect since the event two days ago and now Amazon has caught up. You can pick these devices up at their new prices with Prime shipping, and right now Amazon will throw in some AKG N700NC headphones for free! These headphones used to be $350 (though now they’re $185) but the bundle is a solid deal on very respectable devices.
