The POCO X2 announced today is not what we were expecting

Pocophone has been teasing its return to the smartphone game for a couple of weeks now, and it looks like the company’s latest offering has just been announced in the form of the POCO X2.

For those unfamiliar with Pocophone’s history, the company made waves when they announced the Pocophone F1, a phone with flagship hardware but with the price of a mid-range phone. Understandably, many were highly-anticipating the company’s return with a second phone, which is now the POCO X2.

Unfortunately, unlike the F1, the X2 does not necessarily come with the highest-end of specs. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset which is designated for mid-range handsets, but don’t let that put you off, the rest of the phone’s specs are still highly impressive.

This includes a display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, putting other flagship phones to shame. Pocophone is also boasting of the use of its LiquidCool technology to help keep the phone running cool, a 64MP quad-camera setup that uses Sony’s IMX 686 sensors, 20MP dual front-facing cameras, a 4,500mAh battery, and a 27W charger.

In terms of price, the POCO X2 will only cost customers around $225. At the moment the phone will only be available in India, but here’s hoping that we will see it released in other markets in the future.
