NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW opens its doors to all
It is easy to see the appeal of music and video streaming, where you can access your favorite songs and movies and TV shows anywhere you are. With game streaming, the appeal is the same, with the added benefit that game streaming does the processing in the cloud, thus removing hardware bottlenecks.
There are many companies who have dipped their toes into the game streaming waters, and NVIDIA is one of them where the company has been testing its GeForce NOW service for a while now.
The good news is that if you are interested in taking it for a spin but did not manage to get in the beta, the company has announced that its GeForce NOW service has since exited the beta and that they are currently accepting signups for the service.
There will be two membership plans that gamers will be able to choose from: free and founders. With free, gamers will have standard access to NVIDIA’s servers and will be able to play 1-hour sessions, while the Founders membership is priced at $4.99 and will grant players priority server access and six-hour sessions, as well as access to games that have ray tracing enabled in the form of RTX ON. GeForce NOW will also provide gamers with access to a library of free-to-play games.
