YouTube Rewind 2019 isn’t the cringe-worthy train wreck we got last year

By now you’re probably pretty familiar with the yearly YouTube Rewind videos which come out each December, highlighting the biggest videos and creators on the platform. As we inch our way closer to the end of 2019, YouTube Rewind has been released. The five and a half minute video is dramatically different than what was delivered last year.

If you don’t remember last year’s video or simply want to watch the disaster all over again, we’ve included it below for your viewing (dis)pleasure. The video was a massive production with the year’s biggest YouTube stars living out what they thought should be included in the Rewind video. Despite YouTube’s big ambitions for the video, it went down in history as the most disliked video on the platform.

This time around, the video is simply a supercut the biggest YouTube moments over the past 12 months with countdowns for various categories like most watch music videos, top creators, dance videos and more. Compared to last year’s video and the ones before that, it’s a bit anticlimactic.

Take a look and let us know what you think of YouTube Rewind 2019.
