Plex announces thousands of free movies ready to stream with ads

Plex is a popular media streaming service that allows you to take your local media and make it available to stream anywhere. Whether this is from a personal computer or a server you have running, streaming your favorite content on the go is a great feature to have if you have a solid internet connection.

However, Plex has announced that it will now be streaming thousands of movies for free, just with “minimal” ads shown throughout the movies. This isn’t some collection of obscure movies either; you can find titles like The Terminator, Ghost in the Shell, Road House, and a whole lot more.

But when it comes to your existing library of videos, nothing changes. There will be no ads shown in the movies you already own. I mean, if they did, that would be a huge problem.

The free streaming side of Plex will constantly be improved with new movies and more features. And if you don’t want to participate, you can always turn off the feature entirely so you won’t have to see free movie recommendations. This service is available in more than 200 countries so go sign up for a free Plex account and give it a shot!
