Unboxing the Pixel 4 XL

We’re already hard at work on our Pixel 4 review, but until that is ready we thought you might be interested in an unboxing of the Pixel 4 XL. The unboxing experience of the Pixel 4 XL isn’t much different than what Google delivered with last year’s Pixel phones. The box includes easy-peel plastic seals, allowing you quick access to the content of the box without needing to find scissors. Once the lid is removed, you’ll be presented with the phone, right on top. Google was kind enough to send over the “Clearly White” color, but I would have preferred the “Oh So Orange” option since I always prefer devices with a bit of flare.

Besides the phone, Google really doesn’t include much in the box. There’s an 18W Power Delivery charging brick, a USB-C cable and a Type-C to USB Type-A adapter for those who might want to use it to transfer their data from their older device to the Pixel 4. That’s pretty much it. There’s no 3.5mm to USB-C dongle or USB-C headphones. That really wouldn’t have been an issue with the new Pixel Buds were an option available at launch, but Google’s new true wireless earbuds won’t be hitting the market until 2020.
