Pixel 4 & 4 XL full specs leaked ahead of official announcement, reveals some surprises
Unless Google is secretly feeding bits and pieces of information about their upcoming Pixel 4 smartphones, they really need to do a better job of protecting their development because now in what feels like one of the biggest leaks to date, the full specs of both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have made their way online.
This is thanks to the folks at 9to5Google who managed to get their hands on the specs of both phones. Now, to be fair, given that they are flagship devices, it’s not that hard to figure out what kind of hardware they might be packing, but it’s always nice to have that information “confirmed”.
With the Pixel 4, the phone is expected to come with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 4 XL will sport a larger 6.3-inch QHD+ display with a similar 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 4 will also feature a 2,800mAh battery while the larger Pixel 4 XL will have a 3,700mAh battery.
Apart from the difference in display and battery sizes, the rest of the specs will be identical to each other. This includes the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset along with what Google is referring to as the “Pixel Neural Core”, which we imagine might have something to do with AI processing on the phone.
Both phones will also be packing 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of storage, 12MP + 16MP rear-facing cameras, Face Unlock, Motion Sense, TItan M Security Module, and will come with the latest version of Android with 3 years of promised updates. Google has currently scheduled the Pixel 4 event for the 15th of October, so check back with us in the coming weeks for updates.
