OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro set to launch before the Pixel 4

With all the pixel 4 leaks we’ve seen recently, you might think that Google’s 2019 flagship smartphone lineup will be here within the next week or two. Unfortunately, the Pixel 4 launch event isn’t expected until October 15th, which means the upcoming devices from OnePlus could show up sooner. A new OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro leak finally gives us a clear picture as to when the two smartphones will be unveiled and show up in stores. According to OnLeaks (via Compareraja), OnePlus is set to unveil the two new smartphones on October 10th with retail availability slated for later that week on October 15th.

The leak also confirms many of the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro specs which have already leaked. Both devices will be using the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC and will be getting negligible battery upgrades with support for WARP Charge 30T which is said to be 20% faster than what is  currently available on the OnePlus 7 Pro. That being said, the OnePlus 7T will be getting a new display panel (matching the 7 Pro’s 90Hz refresh rate) and its rear camera will be upgraded with a basically the same triple camera system as the OnePlus 7 Pro as well, though it will retain the 2X telephoto lens it currently has rather than upgrading to the 3X telephoto OnePlus has bestowed on its more expensive model.

Anyone who has already purchased a OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro this year should likely skip both of these phones since the only real difference they’d be able to notice is the different camera module on the back. It’ll be interesting to see how these phones stack up against previous T models from OnePlus since they aren’t expected to introduce any significant changes when compared to the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro which have only been on the market for less than 4 months at this point.
