Samsung Galaxy Note 10 with Android 10 already being tested

0

Yesterday, Google officially released the Android 10 update for its Pixel smartphones. Essential was quick as usual and also released the update for the Essential Phone on the same day. Unfortunately, we can’t speak for other handset makers who all probably have their own release schedules.

But could Samsung be planning on releasing the update for their phones soon? That’s what it feels like, at least according to a report from SamMobile who claims that the company is already testing the Android 10 update for its recently-launched Galaxy Note 10 smartphones. We’re not sure how far along into testing Samsung is.

After all, the Developer Preview for Android 10 has been out for months now, so for all we know, development of the update for its Note 10 handsets could be pretty far along. The company has yet to officially confirm their plans for Android 10, but it’s probably safe to assume that both the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 handsets will definitely be eligible for it. When exactly the update will be released is anyone’s guess, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for it.

In the meantime, Samsung handset owners can rest assured that the company is pretty good with its updates. A recent study by Counterpoint Research found that 89% of all Samsung phones were running on Android 9.0 Pie, which was the previous update before Android 10.
