Xiaomi’s crazy WEMAX 4K laser projector just got a $600 discount

Projection technology hasn’t gotten a lot of attention these pasy few years due to the advancements in LED flatscreen TV panels, but the’ye starting to see a rebirth due to a new generation of short-throw 4K laser projectors which can be placed mere inches from a wall and project images up to 150 inches. As you might expect, these laser projectors aren’t exactly cheap, but you can now pick up the Xiaomi WEMAX L1668FCF 4K laser projector for $2,400, a good $600 less than its usual $3,000 list price.

While there are other 4K laser projectors on the market which range in price from $2,000 to $3,000, the Xiaomi WEMAX L1668FCF 4K’s advantage is that it offers 9,000 lumens of brightness, allowing it to be used in direct daylight or in a well-lit room. The LG HU80KA 4K UHD Laser Projector is a popular alternative at $2447, but only offer 2,500 lumens, less than a third of the Xiaomi WEMAX’s brightness.
