DOOM, DOOM II now available from the Google Play Store

For the younger generation who grew up on games like Battlefield or Call of Duty, you actually have to thank games such as DOOM which helped popularize the genre way back in the day. Granted, those games don’t necessarily look the best when compared to today’s graphics, but they were a classic.

If you wouldn’t mind reliving a classic, you’ll be pleased to learn that Bethesda has since released both DOOM and DOOM II onto the Play Store where they will be priced at $4.99 each. The good thing about these games is that they are both free of microtransactions, so what you pay for is what you’re going to get.

According to Bethesda:

“Celebrate DOOM’s 25th anniversary with the re-release of the original DOOM (1993), including the expansion, Thy Flesh Consumed, is now available on Android devices. First released in 1993, DOOM introduced millions of gamers to the fast-paced, white-knuckle, demon-slaying action the franchise is known for.”

It also seems to be keeping true to the original games, where DOOM will come with an extra 5 levels, while DOOM II will come with an extra 20 levels. We’re not sure how fun the game will be on mobile compared to playing with a keyboard and mouse, but if you’re interested, perhaps you could take it for a spin.
