In the past few years, Samsung has launched smartphones with curved edges on its sides. It was a way for the company to show off their flexible displays. Now it looks like Huawei could be taking a page out of Samsung’s playbook because in a photo shared on Twitter by leakster Ice Universe, it seems that the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Pro could be sporting some pretty serious curves.
In the photo below, it shows the screen cover for the Mate 30 Pro to the right, where you can see that the curves along the sides of the screen are decidedly more pronounced compared to the screen cover to its left. Exactly how Huawei plans on taking advantage of those curves remains to be seen, or whether or not it could simply be for aesthetic purposes.
We should note that Huawei’s phones have adopted a curved design in previous models, so it’s not exactly new, but these curves are probably the curviest we’ve seen in a Huawei phone to date.
Speaking of displays, it has been rumored that the Mate 30 Pro could come with a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. This would make it faster than your average smartphone, although it still won’t be able to beat out the Razer Phone’s 120Hz display, but it would put it on par with handsets like the OnePlus 7 Pro.

It has also been rumored that the handset will come with a new camera cutout on its back where it will be circular, similar to the Nokia 9 PureView. As for the rest of the specs, there is a possibility of it being powered by the Kirin 985 chipset and could also come with support for 5G.
