Future Samsung Galaxy Buds could have replaceable batteries

While many have hailed Apple’s AirPods as a success at the start, what many users now seem to realize is how short its battery lifespan is. Many users are reporting that in less than two years, battery life on the AirPods has gone down the toilet, making them a less than ideal gadget to use while on the go.

This creates a couple of problems, such as being forced to buy new headphones. It also creates environmental waste. That seems to a problem that Samsung is hoping to solve in the future, because according to a patent, Samsung is exploring the idea of updating its Galaxy Buds earbuds where future versions of the gadget could come with replaceable batteries.

What this means is that in the event that the batteries die or lose enough of their charge to no longer be useful, all users need to do is swap out the batteries for a new one. Judging by the design of the patent, accessing the batteries on the earbuds will be quite simple to the point where users can even do it themselves.

This opens the door to the possibility where users could carry several batteries around and swap them out instead of waiting for the earbuds to recharge. Now, whether or not Samsung will make this patent a reality remains to be seen, so don’t get your hopes up just yet.
