If you’ve been patiently waiting for the BlackBerry KEY2 in red, the phone is now available from Amazon and BestBuy. Both retailers are selling the phone for $699.99. The Amazon product page is already live, but it seems BestBuy’s web team is a bit slow today. While that price point is lower than what you’d pay for a flagship smartphone from Samsung these days, you’re really paying for the privilege of having a QWERTY keyboard on the front of the phone.
The specs of the KEY2 include a 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080) display, a Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, dual 12MP cameras on the back, an 8MP selfie camera, a 3500 mAh battery with Quick CHarge 3.0 support, 3.5mm headphone jack and built-in FM radio (something we don’t see often). The phone has more than enough power to multi-task and get work done. The keyboard on the KEY2 is fantastic for those who prefer a physical keyboard for punching out emails on the go rather than tapping away at an on-screen keyboard.
