Xiaomi Mi 9X specs leaked, might be launched in Apri

Late last month during MWC 2019, Xiaomi took the wraps off the Xiaomi Mi 9, the company’s next-gen flagships smartphone. We were pretty chuffed with what we experienced during our hands-on with the phone, but given that it is a flagship handset, it commanded a flagship price.

The good news is that for those of you who’d rather not spend too much money on a phone, especially since they tend to end up being obsolete the next year, Xiaomi could actually have a cheaper and lower-end variant of the Mi 9 in the works. This handset is rumored to be known as the Xiaomi Mi 9X.

If this naming scheme sounds familiar to you, it is because Xiaomi had done a similar thing with the Mi 6X. According to the leaked specs of the upcoming handset, we’re looking at the use of a 6.4-inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.

We can also look forward to a 32MP front-facing camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and it also seems that despite it being a lower-end model, the Mi 9X could be packing a triple camera on the back with a 48MP main camera, a 13MP wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. The leaked specs also claim that the phone could use a 3,300mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging (it looks like it won’t feature the 100W Super Charge Turbo tech that Xiaomi recently unveiled).

It has also been rumored to be priced at $250 and could be released in April, but take it with a grain of salt for now until we can confirm the official details.
