There’s a lot of excitement surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+, but the smaller variant of the phone seems to be begging for some attention today thanks to a handful of leaked press images. As you can see, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10e doesn’t look much different from the leaks we’ve seen of the Galaxy S10, but there are a few distinct characteristics which set the two apart.
The most noticeable difference is that the Samsung Galaxy S10e has a smaller 5.8-inch display which actually makes the hole-punch cutout for its front-facing camera look quite big. Unlike all the flagship Samsung devices we’ve seen for in recent history, the Galaxy S10e won’t have a flexible display panel and curved glass on the front. It’ll be completely flat, likely an effort to help lower the phone’s price point. This device features two cameras on the back instead of the three that we’ve seen on the Galaxy S10 and S10+.
While previous leaks have insisted that the Samsung Galaxy S10e will have an in-display fingerprint sensor, this new leak claims that this device will take the Sony approach and embed the fingerprint sensor into the side of the phone. If you take a close look, you can see that the right edge of the phone has a small cutout that’s roughly at the same height as the volume rocker on the left side of the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S10e is expected to be available in Prism Black, Prism Green, Pearl White and Yellow at launch with a Blue variant coming sometime later. The price of the Galaxy S10e is rumored to be set at 749 euros which converts to $858 here in the US.
