Early Pixel 3 lite review video reveals the phone’s ever last secret

0

Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you the Pixel 3 lite. No, the phone hasn’t officially been unveiled by Google, but the phone did make its way into the hands of Andro News. Rather than just sharing another “leak” as we’ve already seen, they’ve put together a mini review of the Pixel 3 lite to give us all a better idea of what we can expect from the mid-range Pixel smartphone.

By now, you’re probably well versed in the Pixel 3 lite’s spec sheet. The phone is equipped with a 5.56-inch display (1080 x 2160, 434ppi), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 (10nm chip), Adreno 615 GPU, 32GB of storage, 4GB of RAM, the same 12.2 MP (f/1.8, 28mm, OIS) main camera as the standard Pixel 3, a single 8MP selfie camera and a 2915 mAh battery.

A few other features which make the Pixel 3 lite different than the standard Pixel 3 are a plastic unibody build, a SIM card tray that’s been moved to the left side, a single speaker on the bottom edge and the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top. Overall, the design of the Pixel 3 lite falls in line with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, but the device simply doesn’t have a premium fit and finish.

As far as performance goes, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 is said to be quite snappy, offering more than enough horsepower for most users. The one area that Google didn’t make any compromises is with the main 12.2MP camera. The sensor, lens and OIS module appear to be the exact same ones used of the other Pixel 3 devices. This means that the budget-friendly Pixel 3 lite can capture the exact same images its more expensive brothers.

Let’s be honest, the real selling point of Google’s Pixel line has is the incredible camera performance. The Pixel 3 was regarded as the best smartphone camera of 2018 and the upcoming Pixel 3 lite will offer the same camera experience at a much lower price point. The exact sticker price of the phone is still unclear, but rumor has it that Google will likely see the Pixel 3 lite for around $400-$500. We will don’t know when the phone will be coming to market, but the fact that pre-production units are floating around in the wild already seems to indicate that the Pixel 3 lite could show up on store shelves in the next month or two.
