Mobvoi has taken to CES 2019 to announce two new smartwatches. The TicWatch Express 2 (E2) and the TicWatch Sport 2 (S2). The duo is strikingly similar, both are powered by Google’s Wear OS, with the main difference being in the design.
In terms of specs, we’re looking at a 1.39-inch 400×400 AMOLED display, the older Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor (it’s a surprise not to see the new 3100), a 415 mAh battery, and an array of sensors like GPS and heart rate.
The watches are designed for fitness and feature a 5 ATM water resistance rating. They aren’t getting any of the fancier features like NFC payments but the devices are aimed at the budget market so that and the older processor make sense.
No pricing was announced, but the E2 will come in black while the S2 will come in black and white and will be available for purchase “soon after CES.”
