If the rumors are to be believed, Samsung could be working on a new mid-range series of phones with the Galaxy M lineup. According to a report from AllAboutSamsung, one of the models in the lineup, the Galaxy M30, could be packing one heck of a battery.
How big of a battery are we looking at? Apparently, the Galaxy M30’s battery could feature 5,000mAh cell. Based on Phandroid’s own ranking of Android phones with the best battery life from 2018, the Galaxy M30 would be on par with the number one phone on that list: the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max.
In theory, the 5,000mAh battery should be able to get you through the day and then some, assuming that you don’t use it for intensive tasks like video processing, photo editing, or playing games all day. Naturally, your mileage may vary depending on your usage habits, but if battery anxiety is something you’d rather not deal with, then maybe the Galaxy M30 could be a phone to keep an eye out for.
The report also reveals some alleged specs of the phone besides its battery, such as a 6.38-inch Infinity U display with a resolution of 2220×1080, 4GB of RAM, and a triple camera setup with two 5MP sensors and a single 13MP sensor, while the front-facing camera will play home to a 16MP shooter.
Needless to say, this information should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but with rumors of a launch later this month, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out all the official details.
