With the launch of the of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition right around the corner, we finally have the last missing piece to the puzzle — its price. After sharing official press images of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition a few days back, @IshanAgarwal24 has now revealed the phone will make its debut for €699 & €709 (right around $800) in markets across Europe, making it the most expensive OnePlus device in history. The €10 price variation from country to country is in line with what OnePlus’ pricing for its other devices (likely due to differences in VAT between countries).
Since the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition features 10GB of RAM and an upgraded fast charging technology, we were expecting it to sell for at least €50-60 more than the €589 variant of the OnePlus 6T which comes equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. To us, the €110 premium for the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition seems a bit excessive considering that OnePlus only charges a €30 premium to upgrade from 6GB to 8GB of RAM.
Despite the phone’s high price tag, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will likely sell quite well. Will you be forking over the cash to be among the few to own a smartphone with 10GB of RAM?
The most expensive OnePlus phone EVER, as I told you weeks ago! BTW, There is usually a 10 Euro difference in prices between different European countries, hence, €699 & €709. Hope you understand. I like this phone though! :)#OnePlus6T#SaluteToSpeed pic.twitter.com/2L9pm1xkYb
