The Pixel 3 Lite XL says no to the notch

Thanks to new renders from @OnLeaks, we can now get a closer look at what may be the final design of the rumored Pixel 3 Lite and the larger Pixel 3 Lite XL. While we’ve seen photos of the Pixel 3 Lite in the past, this is the first time we’re seeing the Pixel 3 Lite XL. Unlike the original Pixel 3 XL, the Lite model appears to share the same overall design as the smaller Pixel 3 Lite, with a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge, speakers slits on the bottom and no notch on its 6-inch display.

Other specifications for the two phones include a Snapdragon 670 for the smaller phone and a Snapdragon 710 for the XL, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (there’s a chance a 64GB option may be available as well) on both, FHD+ resolution display panels, single 12MP main cameras with dual-Led flash and single 8MP front-facing cameras as well. The battery capacity of the Pixel 3 Lite is expected to be 2915 mAh battery, but no details have yet emerged regarding the larger phone’s battery.

As with all leaks and renders we share, there’s a chance that the information and images may be different than the final Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL once the devices are unveiled. The information shown here is consistent with other leaks, so we’re fairly confident that they accurately portray the devices Google is working on.

With the steady increase in rumors and leaks, the Pixel 3 Lite devices will likely make their debut in Q1 of 2019. There’s a slight chance that the phones will be unveiled at CES in January, but Google will likely show off the new phones at its own even later that month or wait until Mobile World Congress in February. With the cheaper build materials and SoC, these two devices should sell for significantly less than the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. That being said, we don’t expect either of the phones to debut with a sticker price below $550.
