Cars have been getting a lot more technology in the last couple of years. Android Auto was a big deal for a while, but it has petered out a bit. One of the limitations of Android Auto is that you need to plug in your phone for it to work. That will finally be changing this year.

Google is finally showing WiFi p[rojection mode in the Android Auto app. All the elements are there to make it ready for compatible devices. A few new lines appear in the Settings screen layout that allow users to enable or disable wireless projection on their phone.

There are a lot of advantages to wireless head units. It’s much easier to connect your phone. All you have to do is get in the vehicle. You can also utilize fast charging while being connected to Android Auto. Fewer wires in your car is just generally a good thing.
