The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is preparing to make its US debut later this month and anyone still on the fence about picking one up could have one less thing to worry about, at least when it comes to phone’s durability.
YouTuber JerryRigEverything is providing his services yet again, putting the Mate 10 Pro through one of his trademark torture tests in an attempt to uncover the phone’s true build-quality. After watching the video — in which the phone is submitted to a scratch, burn, and bend test — the phone comes out relatively unscathed. That’s to say, it didn’t bend or snap in half. If nothing else, you can rest assured the phone can take a beating.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is officially available to pre-order in the US. If you hurry, you can get a $150 gift card from whichever store where you decide to purchase it from. The Mate 10 Pro comes in only a single storage configuration: 128GB of storage with 6GB of RAM, making it comparable to high-end devices like the Galaxy Note 8.
With a 4,000mAh battery, IP67 water resistance, you’re looking at some pretty serious hardware here. The phone will be available in blue, gray, black, with plans to release a “Mocha Brown” version in the future.
