Huawei Mate 10 and 10 Pro are receiving a software update with loads of bug fixes, here’s the full list
The Huawei Mate 10 and 10 Pro are receiving a big software update, one that brings a handful of much needed bug fixes and optimizaitons. There’s really not much here in terms of new features, but that’s not a bad thing considering all the bugs they’re squashing.
The update — software version 8.0.0.127 (SP1C00) — is targeting the Chinese variants (model numbers ALP-AL00 and BLA-AL00) and because the phones share such similar hardware, they’re running the exact same software throughout. Fixes include everything from the Beauty filter adding “special touches” based on gender (a male likely wouldn’t want to have rosy cheeks or a more heart shaped face), and optimizations to cellular network speed.

Optimizations
- Optimizes Camera and the Navigation dock.
- Optimizes the Beauty feature by adding special touches based on the genders of the photographed subjects.
- Optimizes the accessibility of the Navigation dock, which can now be used in Ultra power saving mode and the notification panel.
- Optimizes the system power consumption by controlling the consumption of third-party apps
- Simplifies the operation of the status bar (tapping on it to return to the call screen is supported).
- Increases the speed of grabbing WeChat lucky money.
- Enjoy being faster than the rest even when in the same network environment.
Fixes
- Fixes an issue where a hidden WLAN with strong signal could not be connected to.
- Fixes an issue where time zones could not be automatically updated according to location for certain carrier SIMs in countries with multiple time zones.
- Fixes an issue where music being played over in-car Bluetooth couldn’t be paused.
- Fixes an issue where Kaiseda K8 Locks couldn’t be connected to.
- Fixes an issue where Camera would occasionally fail to open or display a black screen shortly after opening.
With the update rolling out to Chinese versions of the phone, it’s likely only a matter of time before it begins rolling out to other parts of the world. If you’re one of the lucky ones to own the phone, you may want to keep an eye out.
