Back in December, we learned about some Honor devices that would be seeing the update to Android 8.0 Oreo, along with which Huawei flagship devices would also be seeing up the update. Today, we are getting the full-list from the company after the list was published on the Huawei Club forums.
The list is rather extensive, which is reassuring for those who purchased devices from the company in the last year or so. This is especially exciting considering the fact that it’s not too often that we see so many mid-range and budget devices provided with an update schedule to the latest version of Android.
Android Oreo will be coming to the above list of devices through EMUI 8.0, which is the latest version of Huawei’s own software, and is found on all Huawei devices (other than the Nexus 6P). Unfortunately, there was no mention as to when this update would begin rolling out to said devices, so we’ll have to keep our eyes and ears peeled to learn more.
Let us know if you own any of the above devices, and if the impending update to Android Oreo could persuade you to at least give a new device like the Honor 7X or Honor View 10 a shot.
