The HTC U11 EYEs is made official with dual selfie cameras

Last week we saw a few leaks regarding the HTC U11 EYEs, and now the device has been officially unveiled. The device rests in the mid-range market and marks the second HTC device to launch with a 2:1 display after the HTC U11 Plus.

As for specs, the U11 EYEs features a Snapdragon 652 chipset, which has been coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The display itself measures in at 6-inches and features a resolution of 2160 x 1080.

When it comes to the cameras, this is where things get interesting as the U11 EYEs features dual 5MP selfie cameras. These 5MP sensors feature an aperture of f/2.2 and also include HDR capabilities.

Moving to the rear, HTC has included a 12-Ultrapixel sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a dual-LED flash. The rear sensor also features phase detection autofocus, OIS, and is capable of shooting 4K video.

Rounding out the spec list, the U11 EYEs includes a 3,930mAh battery with USB Type-C, as well as IP67 water & dust resistance and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Finally, the U11 EYEs is running Android Oreo out of the box, which is a nice touch to make sure owners of the device don’t have to worry about getting the latest version of Android.

In the box, you will get a pair of HTC’s USonic headphones, which feature active noise reduction, and the device is also equipped with the company’s Edge Sense technology. Pricing for the U11 EYEs starts around $512 when the device launches in China on Wednesday.

As expected, we aren’t sure as to if this device will make its way to the US market, or if it will stick to Asian and European markets. Let us know what you think about the U11 EYEs in the comments below.
