US versions of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ pass through the FCC

It was late last year that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ hit the ground running, passing through the FCC a few days before New Years. With rumors that Samsung would launch the phones a little ahead of schedule (we hear this most every year) it made sense.

We later learned from Samsung themselves that the phones would be unveiled next month at MWC — right on schedule — which means an official launch is still right around the corner. It’s officially crunch time and if you needed any further proof that we were nearing the launch of these devices, the US models are now following suit.

Both the Galaxy S9 (SM-G960U) and Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965U) have now passed through the FCC, carrying with them all the necessary LTE bands to operate on major carriers here in the states, including T-Mobile’s Band 66.
