LG announces a $343 million profit in Q4 2017

0

2017 has been an up and down year for LG, as the company looked to reinvent itself with the release of the LG G6 and LG V30. While the company isn’t struggling nearly as bad as HTC, LG is still taking hits in its mobile department.

To the surprise of some, LG shared its preliminary financial results for Q4 of 2017, revealing the company’s profit of $343.2 million for the quarter. The company also confirmed they are expecting to see a profit increase of almost 85% when compared to 2016.

Considering the fact that this is just a preliminary report, there’s no mention of exactly how well LG’s various device performed in 2017. The company led the charge to a bezel-less future with the LG G6 early in the year, while the LG V30 was a more refined and polished version which is still turning heads.

The company is expected to release its full earnings report later this month, so we’ll have to wait until then to really see how well the company’s mobile division performed. In the meantime, we can keep trying to figure out when the latest LG flagship will hit the market, and if it will be another game changer like the LG G6.

Let us know what you think about these financial results in the comments below and if you want to see LG make a huge splash in 2018.
