Earlier this month, we heard rumors that Meizu had big plans for 2018 as the company is preparing to release up to six new devices in just the first half of the new year. It seems that the ball is getting ready to start rolling as the oft-rumored Meizu M6S has passed through China’s TENAA certifications.
Surprisingly, TENAA did not publish any images of the device, however, we now have an idea of some of the specs that can be found on the device. Notably, the Meizu M6S will come equipped with a 5.7-inch display and a 2,930mAh battery.
Unfortunately, there’s no information as to whether the display will follow the recent trend of 18:9 options, but previous rumors claim this will be the case. Other rumored specs for the Meizu M6S include 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, along with a dual-camera setup including a 13MP main shooter and a 5MP secondary sensor.
Finally, we are expecting the M6S to be powered by MediaTek’s MT6793 chipset, which should help keep things chugging along for this mid-range device. Thanks to the fact that the M6S has passed through the TENAA certifications, we could be only days away from an official announcement. It’s unlikely that Meizu will be making an appearance at CES 2018, so be sure to keep an eye out for something else from Meizu as we enter 2018.
