You can now send Instagram Live videos as direct messages
Instagram has had a very good 2017. They continue to add great features while leaving Snapchat in the dust. Instagram Live was launched as a way to combat Periscope (do people still use that?) and other live platforms. It has quickly become one of Instagram most popular features and now it’s getting more personal.
A new feature allows you to send Instagram Live videos to your friends via Direct message. This works while you’re doing a live video and from live videos from others. It doesn’t work for videos that aren’t live anymore. Just tap the Direct arrow icon and select a friend. This is a cool feature for watching live streams together.
This feature is available starting today in the Android app.
