Meizu is an OEM that you may not have heard much about, but the company is working on making some big moves in 2018. The company has decided to delay its latest device with the Meizu M6S until some time in 2018, but the buck won’t stop there.
According to a new report, Meizu is planning on releasing up to six new devices in the first half of 2018, including the aforementioned Meizu M6S. The reason for the delay of the M6S comes from reports of a “debugging issue” surrounding the camera of the device.
The only other phone that we are certain is coming in early 2018 is the Meizu 15, which is the company’s “anniversary” device. But the report claims that there will be up to six devices released, and Meizu is considering making the move from MediaTek processors to Qualcomm Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos chipsets.
Five of these devices would feature processors from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon lineup, with only one taking advantage of Samsung’s Exynos chipset. Nonetheless, Meizu has a lot of big plans for 2018, and it will be fun to see what’s to come, especially if any of these devices are made available for purchase here in the US.
Let us know what you think about this move for Meizu, and if you would be interested to see Meizu’s lineup made available here in the States.
